Basic Info.

Kirigaya-ji Temple was originally constructed in 1684, and moved to its current location in 1955. It is a temple of the Sotoshu (Soto Zen School). They offer Zazen (Zen sitting meditaion) sessions on the 3rd Saturday of every month. Through the temple master many international exchanges, the zazen sessions are attended by people from all over the world. They also offer an overnight Sesshin (intensive Zazen) at the branch in Fuji.
