The Summer Grand Purification Ritual at Tokyo Dajingu Shrine, known for its God of marriage and matchmaking, is held every year on June 30th. This ceremony purifies body and soul from the sins which have accumulated over the last half year. At the Chinowa-kuguri, participants will pass through a hoop made of kaya grass.
Purify your body and soul and prepare for a summer filled with love.

Grand Purification Ritual: June 28th 2019(Fri) from 4PM

At the Grand Purification Ritual, you will write your name and age on a human shaped paper doll, then pat your body with it and blow on it. This will place your sins onto the human shaped paper doll.
