Basic Info.
The Kanda Myojin Shrine was founded in 730 and has been revered to as the Edo Sochinju (center place to pray for local gods) since 1300 years.
The Grand Purification Ritual places the sins one accumulates in their daily life without noticing, into a human shaped paper doll and purifies one’s body and soul. The human shaped paper doll filled with sin will then be shed into the ocean at the Ryukyaku-Shinji Ceremony.
