Basic Info.

The Yushima Tenmangu Shrine, also known as Yushima Tenjin, enshrines the spirit of Sugawara Michizane, the God of studies. This shrine has been a popular spot to view plum blossoms since the Edo Period. When the 300 plum trees are in full bloom, they offer a magnificent view. This year, the Plum Festival was canceled due to the corona infection. However, you can enter and worship at the plum garden as usual. Let’s enjoy the plum blossoms with a small number of people this year.
