Basic Info.

Nezu Museum was established in 1941 to store antique art object collection of Nezu Kaichirō Sr., and to display it. I can enjoy appreciation while it is like opening, and calm space spreads out while being in Aoyama. Approximately 17,000 square meters of Japanese gardens which are full of green become the urban oasis.

Traditional Japanese art is popular all over the world, such as Japanese swords, Cable ties, pottery, decorated papers, and so on. However, traditional Japanese art is thought to be difficult for beginners to understand. Especially because you can not read Decorated Papers, it tends to be avoided. Therefore, this exhibition focuses on Decorated Papers, and easy-to-understand works made with various decorative techniques by gold and silver or unmo are displayed. Traditional Japanese art It is an exhibition suitable for the first step of viewing.
