Moreover, it is a remarkable exhibition that can be seen in a huge size that has never been seen before. Everyone knows Katsushika Hokusai’s “Fugaku 36 Views” and Utagawa Hiroshige’s “old-time fifty-three stages on the Tokaido highway”, and two “Fujin and Raijin Zuhoufu” drawn by Tawaraya Sotatsu and Ogata Korin. There are many national treasures and important cultural properties such as the competition of “Saboten Gunkei-zu”, a masterpiece of Ito Jakuchu. In addition to the masterpieces of the five major painters, there are plenty of highlights such as the gorgeous gold folding screens of the same period.
