Last year, “Ao no Dokutsu” drew 1mio. visitors in 3 weeks. This event, which translates into Blue Grotto, illuminates the 800m-path from Shibuya Koen-Dori to Yoyogi-Koen with 600,000 blue light bulbs and transforms this busy town into a fantastical world. This year, “Ao no Dokutsu” will also illuminate Sapporo, Sendai, Nagoya, Osaka, Hiroshima, and Fukuoka.
